In the latest study of its kind, Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos recruited a group of cigarette smokers as participants. The participants were given an option to switch to vaping and they were monitored for a whole year. By the end of the year, some of the participants had quit smoking completely, others had reduced their cigarette use and other still made no real changes to their cigarette smoking.
The study found that those who reduced or stopped their smoking and chose to vape instead showed amazing improvements in their cardiovascular health. In fact, smokers who switched to vaping showed a dramatic decrease in blood pressure and, more interestingly, that those who quit both had no more of a decrease in blood pressure than those who switched to vaping! This is a huge find as it can now no longer be said that vapers have the same cardiovascular risks as smokers.
